Operatic superstar Anna Netrebko makes her first and long awaited appearance in Prague with a concert performance of Tchaikovsky´s Iolanta. One of Anna Netrebko´s most treasured roles, she first debuted it under the baton of Valery Gergiev during a co-production between the Mariinsky Theatre, St Petersburg and Festspielhaus Baden-Baden, to then perform it again in 2011 during the Salzburg Festival.

American tenor Lawrence Brownlee established himself as one of the best Rossini singers. Following his triumphal success at the Metropolitan Opera (Almaviva at Rossini’s Il barbiere di Siviglia on 26th April 2007), he sang the role at many prestigious opera scenes, including Vienna State Opera and La Scala, Milan. He was first seen at the Live from the MET Broadcasts in 2009 (Don Ramiro in Rossini’s Cenerentola) as well as in the following year (Rinaldo in Rossini‘s Armida), both to a great success.

The charismatic Italian bass-baritone Ildebrando D´Arcangelo gained recognition as a great Mozart singer; a fascinating Don Giovanni, Figaro and Leporello. All front opera houses around the world are currently considered his home scenes, including La Scala, Vienna State Opera and the Metropolitan Opera, as well as festivals in Salzburg and Baden Baden. The unparalled artists will now make his Prague debut.
