Bass-baritone Boris Prýgl has been since the 2017/18 season a member of the Opera Studio of the Bavarian State Opera in Munich. For a concert he will be hosting at Prague´s New Town Hall, he has invited three talented young singers, all of whom are his colleagues at the distinguished Munich opera institution. Boris Prýgl has to his credit several victories from singing contests, including the title of absolute winner of the 2015 Antonín Dvořák International Competition in Karlovy Vary, and second prize from the Ferruccio Tagliavini International Competition in Austria. He obtained his first experiences on the opera stage as a guest soloist of the Slovak National Theatre in Bratislava and at the Brno National Theatre (in the role of the Tutor in the Czech premiere of Rossini´s opera Le comte Ory).
Puerto Rican soprano Anaïs Mejías has been a member of the Opera Studio of the Bavarian State Opera from the 2018/19 season. She is a laureate of the prestigious Metropolitan Opera House Council Audition project, and a finalist of the Francisco Viñas International Competition. In March 2018 she appeared in a production of Joseph Haydn´s Nelson Messe at New York´s Carnegie Hall.
Mezzo-soprano Noa Beinart from Israel has been a member of the Opera Studio of the Bavarian State Opera from the 2018/19 season. She graduated from the Hochschule für Musik Hanns Eisler in the class of Christine Schäfer. She attended the masterclasses of Brigitte Fassbaender, and in 2017, she won Trude Eipperle Rieger Award.
Chinese tenor Long Long studied at the Shanghai Conservatory of Music and the University Opera Research Institute in Beijing. In 2016 he won first prize from the Grand Prix de l´Opéra International Competition in Bucharest, a victory which earned him an invitation to appear at the Maggio Musicale Fiorentino festival. He is also a laureate of the Giovani Voci Verdiane competition. Since the 2017/18 season he has been a member of the Opera Studio of the Bavarian State Opera.
The young singers will be accompanied by Italian pianist Alessandro Stefanelli, during the 2016/17 season répétiteur for the Young Artists Programme at the Teatro dell´Opera in Rome. He has worked with the opera houses of Naples, Parma, Verona, Innsbruck and Vienna, and since the 2017/18 season has been pianist of the Opera Studio of the Bavarian State Opera in Munich.
