The famous Maltese tenor Joseph Calleja and American baritone Lucas Meachem will sing in Prostějov during the Haná Opera Festival. The world-renowned tenor from Malta Joseph Calleja, Gramophone Magazine’s “2012 Artist of the Year“, enchanted Prague in January 2013 in an opera gala Tribute to Mario Lanza. A permanent guest of world’s front opera stages, including the Metropolitan Opera New York and Vienna State Opera, Mr Calleja will sing to the audience in the city of Prostějov along with the American baritone Lucas Meachem. The press called Lucas a rising star back in 2009; now-a-days, he firmly established himself among the world opera elite (e.g. as an outstanding Rossini’s Figaro). Accompanied by the Bohuslav Martinů Philharmonic Orchestra Zlín both singers will take part of the celebration of one hundred years old Town Hall in Prostějov.
