For the first time in Prague – the excellent German soprano Diana Damrau, named “Singer of the Year” by Opernwelt magazine in 2008, will come to Prague with her husband, French bass-baritone Nicolas Testé. Diana Damrau started her career on opera stages in Würzburg, Mannheim and Frankfurt to later reach the very best ones: Vienna State Opera, Metropolitan Opera New York, Covent Garden in London, La Scala in Milan and the Salzburg Festival.
She starred at the Met Live in HD broadcasts several times; most recently she was an exceptional Gilda in Verdi’s Rigoletto alongside Piotr Beczała (February 2013).
