One of the most phenomenal singers of today’s world of opera, the Latvian mezzo-soprano Elīna Garanča, will appear at the open-air concert in Olomouc during the Haná Opera Festival. We had the chance to meet her together with her husband, charismatic conductor Karel Mark Chicon, at three concerts in Prague, their last concert took place in September 2012 there. For their first concert in Olomouc, the famous couple invited a young talented Czech tenor Petr Nekoranec (who recently performed with the Czech Philharmonic Orchestra and Jiří Bělohlávek) to participate.
