Iván Ayón-RivasOpera gala

Tenor Iván Ayón-Rivas (born 1993) follows in the footsteps of his famous predecessors, Luigi Alva and Juan Diego Flórez. He gained his world renown in October 2021, when he won the famous Plácido Domingo Operalia singing competition, and the OperaWire ranked him among the 10 rising stars of 2021.

In December of the same year, he made his debut in Milan's La Scala in a new production of Verdi's Macbeth where he assumed the role of Malcolm alongside Anna Netrebko and Ildar Abdrazakov. Iván has had more success in singing competitions to his credit, including the first prize at the Francesco Viñas competition in Barcelona in 2019. His engagements for the spring of 2022 include some very special roles: the Duke of Mantua (Rigoletto) at the Opéra royal de Wallonie in Liège and the Teatro Verdi in Trieste, the title role of Faust at the Teatro La Fenice in Venice, and Nemorino (L’elissir d’amore) at the Teatro Massimo Bellini in Catania.

Iván Ayón-Rivas will perform in Prague for the first time, in the popular concert series of the Association of Friends of Musical Talents. In the most beautiful opera arias of the Italian bel canto, he will be accompanied by the Italian pianist Michele d'Elia, who collaborates with a number of renowned singers and works as a singing advisor at the La Scala Academy.

Under the auspices of the Minister of Culture of the Czech Republic Martin Baxa and Ambassador of Italy H.E.Mauro Marsili.
