The queen of the harp, Jana Boušková, soloist of the Czech Philharmonic, has for many years enjoyed a special status on the international concert circuit. Having earned an early acclaim as “talent of the century” some time ago, her subsequent career has given a fully convincing proof of its validity. She has accumulated some of the most prestigious honours as a soloist, appearing in the most notable concert venues of her home country and worldwide, sitting on competition juries and attending major harp symposiums and conferences. She has to her credit a discography of two dozen CDs. Figuring on the list of her past and present artistic partners are the names of such world-famous musicians as Mstislav Rostropovich, Maxim Vengerov, Yuri Bashmet or Patrick Gallois, among others. The latest addition to this company, the young Czech tenor, Petr Nekoranec, has been commended by critics as “a living definition of the term ´rising star´”. Since September 2018 a soloist of the Stuttgart Opera, Petr has scored triumphs in various international competitions. The autumn of 2019 has seen the release of his debut solo album, French Arias, which he recorded with the Czech Philharmonic Orchestra under the baton of Christopher Franklin. This concert´s coupling of harp and voice at their best promises a truly exciting evening!
