Mariusz Kwiecień & Simona Houda Šaturová

CONCERT IS OLD OUT

Two great stars of today’s opera and concert stages in a joint concert in Prague! Although they haven’t met on one opera stage yet, they will definitely enjoy roles of their signature repertoire on the stage of the Smetana Hall. Mariusz Kwiecień & Simona Houda Šaturová will perform in witty duets: As Figaro and Rosina (Rossini: Il barbiere si Siviglia), or Doctor Malatesta and Norina (Donizetti: Don Pasquale) they will plot against old bachelors; and Susanna will deal with the importunate Count Almaviva (Mozart: Le nozze di Figaro). But Violetta will experience the end of her love affair after meeting her lover’s father (Verdi: La traviata)…

Mariusz Kwiecień is one of the most important baritones in the world today; his voice is acclaimed in all of the world’s front opera houses, including the Metropolitan Opera New York, Covent Garden London and Vienna State Opera.

Simona Houda-ŠaturováSimona Houda Šaturová is a sought-after interpret of Mozart roles as well as the roles of the Italian Bel canto.
