Dearest fans and concert goers,
It is our very sad duty to inform you that the American soprano Nadine Sierra cancelled her performance in Prague due to personal reasons. The gala with the starry guest was to take place on 9th October 2019 at the Smetana Hall, along with the Prague Symphony Orchestra and Robert Tuohy, conductor. Tenor Xabier Anduaga and bass-baritone Boris Prýgl were going to guest-star the concert.
Naturally, we will reimburse those of you who already purchased tickets to this concert. You second option is changing your existing tickets to tickets to one of our other concert in the fall: “Two Tenors” on 3rd November 2019 or the excellent Pretty Yende – 20th November 2019.
To make up for this loss, we are still planning to bring the very talented Rossini-tenor Xabier Anduaga from Spain; he will put together a recital and perform in at the New Town City Hall on the day of the Nadine Sierra cancelled concert. Xabier will take part at this year’s Operalia (taking place in Prague), and we are certain his voice will be heard in the future. Boris Prýgl will sing at our Christmas concert on 20th December 2019.
The Spanish tenor Xabier Anduaga and Czech bass-baritone Boris Prýgl will join the starry American soprano Nadine Sierra at her Prague concert.
