Navasard Hakobyan – baryton
Ahmad Hedar – piano
Armenian baritone Navasard Hakobyan took third place at the Plácido Domingo’s Operalia 2023 and he also won the Zarzuela category. He is currently a studio member of the Houston Grand Opera and is slowly making his way into the world. In the 2022/23 season, he appeared at the Houston Grand Opera in La traviata as Baron Douphol, in Le nozze di Figaro as Antonio and in Salome as the Second Nazarene; in the 2023/24 season he will add the role of Sharpless (Madama Butterfly) on this stage.
In March 2024, he will make his Dallas Opera debut as Gregorio (Roméo et Juliette). Navasard Hakobyan graduated from the Conservatory and the program for young artists at the National Academic Theatre of Opera and Ballet in Yerevan. In Prague, he will perform with the excellent pianist Ahmad Hedar.
The concert is held under the auspices of Dr. Ashot Hovakimian, Ambassador of the Republic of Armenia.
