An Operatic Miracle Within Reach: Julie Roset Returns to Prague!
In January 2025, a sold out Dvořák Hall witnessed an extraordinary evening – standing ovations celebrated two rising stars of the opera world, both laureates of Plácido Domingo’s renowned Operalia competition. “The recital of Julie Roset and Anthony León was another triumph for Nachtigall Artists,” wrote the portal KlasikaPlus. “It was an immensely inspiring encounter with young, humble, and perfectly prepared artists who already perform like true stars.”
Together with the Association of Friends of Musical Talents, our agency has long been discovering and supporting exceptional vocal personalities. We invite only the very best to Prague – and French soprano Julie Roset is a shining example of our efforts. Winner of the Eric and Dominique Laffont Competition at the Metropolitan Opera (2022), Operalia laureate (2023), and named among OperaWire’s Top Ten Rising Stars 2023. Most recently, she was awarded Discovery of the Year 2025 at the French Victoires de la Musique Classique – often compared to the American Grammys. (In 2022, this same prize went to Benjamin Bernheim, who will return to Prague with Nachtigall Artists in November 2025.)
Julie Roset is steadily building a stellar career, earning ovations at the Opéra Comique in Paris, Teatro Real in Madrid, the Aix-en-Provence Festival, Opéra National du Rhin, the Salzburg Festival, and the Paris Opera. In November 2025, she will make her long-awaited debut at the Metropolitan Opera in New York as Fiakermilli in Strauss’s Arabella.
In Prague, she will be joined by the outstanding American pianist Susan Manoff – a sought-after partner of the world’s leading singers, admired on the most prestigious stages including Carnegie Hall in New York, Wigmore Hall in London, the Musikverein in Vienna, and the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam. With Julie, she recently recorded the song L’Inconstante by acclaimed French composer Isabelle Aboulker (Alpha Classics, 2025).
