Born in San Sebastián, Spain, Xabier Anduaga won the prestigious Plácido Domingo Operalia competition in August 2019, and just two months later, in October of that year, the Nachtigall Artists agency brought him to Prague! Since then, Xabier has established himself as one of the most prominent tenors of his generation. In April 2023, he made his debut at New York’s Metropolitan Opera as Nemorino (L’elisir d’amore), a role he also performed for the first time at the Vienna State Opera in March 2024. He has appeared at Madrid’s Teatro Real, the Bavarian State Opera in Munich, London’s Covent Garden, the Rossini Festival in Pesaro, the Donizetti Festival in Bergamo, Paris’s Théâtre des Champs-Elysées, Teatro Colón in Buenos Aires, and many others.

In the 2025/26 season, he is set to debut in the title role of Werther at Barcelona’s Gran Teatre del Liceu, to sing Elvino in the Metropolitan Opera’s new production of La sonnambula directed by Rolando Villazón, Alfredo (La traviata) at the Vienna State Opera, Paris Opera, and in Rome, Tonio (La fille du régiment) at the Bavarian State Opera, and the Duke of Mantua (Rigoletto) at the Deutsche Oper Berlin, among others.

The Georgian baritone Misha Kiria is to perform in the Czech Republic for the very first time. He is especially sought-after for his portrayals of Bartolo (Il barbiere di Siviglia), Don Magnifico (Rossini’s La Cenerentola), and Falstaff, a role he sang at Madrid’s Teatro Real in the celebrated production by director Laurent Pelly.

He is a regular guest at the Deutsche Oper Berlin, and further engagements have taken him to Oper Frankfurt, Milan’s La Scala, Teatro Filarmonico in Verona, Dutch National Opera in Amsterdam, as well as the Bregenz and Glyndebourne festivals. At the Vienna State Opera, he made his debut in February 2022 as Dulcamara (L’elisir d’amore) and has since returned to the house as Don Magnifico (La Cenerentola) and Don Pasquale. Since his debut in 2021, he has been a frequent guest at the Bavarian State Opera in Munich, where in the 2025/26 season he will once again appear as Sulpice (La fille du régiment) and Don Magnifico (La Cenerentola). Misha Kiria studied at the State Conservatory in Tbilisi and at the Accademia Teatro alla Scala in Milan.
