Prague Philharmonia
Alena Hron – conductor
Zuzana Marková and Mariusz Kwiecień will perform with the singers and the conductor, who are decorated not only with talent, but also with their youth.
Charismatic Polish baritone Mariusz Kwiecień enthusiastically joined the project of the Association of Friends of Musical Talents, the foundation of which was initiated by Alena Kunertová, the owner of Nachtigall Artist, to support young singers in starting their careers. Mariusz Kwiecień returns to Prague repeatedly to conduct master classes. Now he will introduce his young protégés on the stage of the Dvořák Hall. He will be joined by the famous soprano Zuzana Marková, a favorite star of many Italian theaters; she is no less loved by audiences at the Paris Opera, the Vienna State Opera, the Berlin State Opera, Los Angeles Opera as well as the festivals in Wexford and Avignon. And equally so, in Prague!
The gifted youth will be represented by the Icelandic mezzo-soprano Arnheidur Eiríksdóttir, who is one of the most successful faces of Nachtigall Artists as well as the soloist of the National Theatre Opera in Prague and winner of the 2023 Thalia Award. She will be joined by soprano Emma Balunová, student of the Academy of Performing Arts in Bratislava, tenor Daniel Matoušek, soloist of the National Theatre Opera, who most recently excelled on this stage as Rinuccio in the double title Don Buoso/Gianni Schicchi, and Ukrainian basso Ivan Lyvch, soloist of the Slovak National Theatre in Bratislava.
But that's not all! A young talented artist will also assume the conductor’s stand – Alena Hron, a multitalented artist who sings, plays the violin and piano, composes and above all is one of the most promising representatives of the upcoming generation of Czech conductors. Together with the great Prague Philharmonia, they will certainly prepare a wonderful evening for us!
The patronage of this and other projects was provided by the Minister of Culture Mgr. Martin Baxa.
