The Renowned Italian baritone Mattia Olivieri (born 1984) made his La Scala debut in the autumn of 2015, as Schaunard (La bohème) in the famous production by Franco Zeffirelli under the baton of Gustavo Dudamel. Since then, he has been a regular guest of this famous scene where is assumed the following roles: Belcore (L'elisir d'amore), Masetto (Don Giovanni), Malatesta (Don Pasquale), Nardo (La finta giardiniera), Dandini (La cenerentola), Mercutio (Roméo et Juliette), Prosdocimo (Il Turco in Italia), and Figaro (Il barbiere di Siviglia). His singing career is incredibly vast. Let's mention at least his Spring 2022 commitments: Silvio (I pagliacci) at the Royal Opera House Covent Garden in London, Ping (Turandot) at the Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia in Rome, Pallante (Agrippina) at the Bavarian State Opera in Munich and Luna (Il trovatore) at the Teatro La Fenice in Venice.
Mattia Olivieri will make his Prague debut within the popular concert series of the Association of Friends of Musical Talents. In the most beautiful opera arias of the Italian Bel Canto, he will be accompanied by the Italian pianist Michele d'Elia, who collaborates with a number of renowned singers and works as a singing advisor at the La Scala Academy.
