Rolando Villazón – tenor
Emily Pogorelc – soprano
PKF – Prague Philharmonia
Guerassim Voronkov – conductor
The world-famous tenor Rolando Villazón last sang in Prague on June 29, 2021 in the Rudolfinum, accompanied by the French pianist Morgan Fauchois-Prado. It was a fantastic evening! After the covid break, Rolando didn't hide his emotion and enthusiasm that he was singing for a live audience again. He was in great singing form and fascinated the listeners not only with his singing, but also with joy. He confirmed that the phenomenon, the unfettered tenor, is "the most magical star of the contemporary opera scene" (The Times).
Since 2012, Rolando Villazón has performed in Prague at the invitation of the Nachtigall Artists agency repeatedly, each time with an original program. This time, along with PKF – Prague Philharmonia under the baton of Guerassim Voronkov, he will offer arias from operas by J. Massenet, G. Donizetti and G. Verdi, among others. Rolando loves Prague audience! And together, we will wish him all the best in his fifties.
