Maurizio Agostini – conductor

Following the unforgettable concert of the Filarmonia della Scala orchestra from Milan's La Scala under the baton of Myung-Whun Chung (April 2016), we will welcome an orchestra from another famous Italian opera house in Prague: this time it will be the Teatro di San Carlo in Naples. At the initiative of Superintendent Stéphane Lissner, an academy for young singers was founded in 2020 at the Teatro di San Carlo in Naples. In the summer of 2021, the first international competition took place, 11 students were selected to work under the guidance of the renowned Italian soprano Mariella Devia. The students made their first public appearance in June 2022 at a concert in the Royal Palace of Naples (arias and scenes from Giovanni Paisiello’s opera Don Chisciotte). On 15th September 2022, they performed with at the Teatro di San Carlo and then embark on a European tour which will be concluded by a performance of Paisiello's complete Don Chisciotte at the Louvre in Paris in 2023.

Under the baton of the Italian conductor Maurizio Agostini the following young graduates of the academy will perform in Prague with the Orchestra del Teatro di San Carlo in Naples: sopranos Laura Ulloa, Chiara Polese and Maria Sardaryan and tenors Giorgi Guliashvili and Li Danyang.
